Let people find your products by searching on Google: the switch on the Setup page, how long it takes, how to help Google show your products well, and what it means when the box is greyed out.
Your store link works for anyone you send it to. With this switch on, people can also find your products by searching on Google — for example someone typing "red leather handbag Abuja" can land on your item, even if they have never heard of your store.
To turn it on: open Store Settings → Setup, find Google and other search engines, and tick Show my store and products on Google. It saves straight away — you will see "Saved - Google can now find your store". Untick it at any time to stop.
| When the box is… | What happens |
|---|---|
| Off (every store starts here) | Your store works exactly as before for anyone you share the link with. Google is asked not to list your store or its products. |
| On | Google may list your store and every product you have published. Each product shows its name, price and whether it is in stock. Hidden items, and sold-out items you chose to remove, are never listed. |
Help Google show your products well. Google reads what you typed when you published each item, so:
If the box is greyed out with a note under it, our support team has turned this off for your store, and the note says why. Contact support to change it. If the note says your online store is turned off, Google will not list it until the store is turned back on.
