Offers & Coupons: timed sales, deals and coupon codes
Put items on offer for a set time, run buy-2-get-1-free and bundle deals, give out coupon codes, and text shoppers who asked to hear about a sale.
Offers & Coupons in the top bar. Put items on offer for a set time, run "buy 2, get 1 free" deals, and give out coupon codes. The storefront shows the offer, counts down to the end, and goes back to the normal price by itself — your item's normal price is never changed.
Across the top: Offers running now, Sold on offers, Discount given and Coupon uses. Below are two tabs, Offers and Coupons, each filtered by Running and coming up, Ended or All.
13.1 Making an offer
There are five kinds of offer:
Kind
Example
How it works
% off
20% off
Every unit of the chosen items is cheaper by this percentage.
Money off
500 off each
This much comes off the price of each unit.
New price
sell at 1,500
Each chosen item sells at this price. Items already cheaper are left out.
Buy some, get some free
buy 2, get 1 free
Counted per item: buy 2 of the same item, get 1 more of it free.
Bundle price
3 for 5,000
Counted per item. Extra units are at the normal price.
Press New offer and give it a Name of the offer — shoppers see this name.
What kind of offer? — pick one of the five above, then fill in its figures.
Which items? — Items I choose, Whole categories (items you publish later in those categories join too) or Everything in my store.
Starts and Ends — or tap Today only, This weekend, 7 days from now or 30 days from now.
Optional limits: how many units in total ("first 50 only" — after that, the normal price) and units per order (stops one buyer taking the whole offer).
Show a countdown to the end — "Ends in 2 days" on the item, so shoppers hurry.
Text shoppers who asked to hear about a sale — see 13.4.
Check What shoppers will pay (each item's offer price, and the profit after discount where the item has a cost recorded), then Save offer.
On each offer you can Share it (a ready message to copy or send on WhatsApp), Text my customers (all your customers, or people who ordered online — customers on your "do not text" list are left out, and the cost is shown before you send), end it early, or Run this offer again once it has ended.
13.2 Making a coupon
Press New coupon. Type the Code shoppers type, or press Make one. Letters and numbers only (a dash is fine).
Discount — % off the items (with an optional Most it can take off) or Money off the order.
Optional: Order must be at least, Starts/Ends, How many times in total, and Times per shopper (checked by email and phone number).
Also take it off items already on offer — leave it off and the code only works on items at their normal price (safer).
Give credit to an affiliate — orders that use the code count as that affiliate's sales, unless the shopper came through someone else's link.
Save coupon. Shoppers type it on the checkout page under Have a coupon code?
You can share a coupon the same way as an offer, switch it off (the code stops working straight away), or remove it.
13.3 What shoppers see
A % OFF badge and the old price struck out on each item on offer, a deal ribbon for "buy some, get some free" and bundle deals, and Ends in … when you chose a countdown.
An Offers strip on your storefront listing what is on now.
The cart and checkout show the offer price and any coupon as its own line. If a coupon stops applying before the order is placed (it ended, or ran out), the shopper is told and the total is worked out again.
13.4 "Tell me when it's on sale"
On an item that is not on offer, shoppers can tap Tell me when it's on sale and leave their phone number. When you start an offer on that item with Text shoppers who asked to hear about a sale ticked, each of them gets one text, paid from your SMS units. The offer's results show how many Waiting shoppers texted.
Your prices stay yours. An offer never changes the price saved on the item. When it ends, the storefront goes back to the normal price by itself, and invoices made from offer orders show exactly what the shopper paid.
